This picture was taken looking towards Comber at the site of Dundonald station. The Department for Regional Development, Water Service, carried out major work here, laying pipes as part of the Knock Valley Relief Sewer scheme. All traces of the station platforms have been completely obliterated. This sewer has been laid along the route of the former railway between the Newtownards Road at Ballymacarret and the pumping works on the Comber Road, Dundonald (opposite the former station). The work took place between February 2003 and March 2004.
