This picture shows the stationmaster’s house. This was built in 1894 having been designed by the BCDR company civil engineer G P Culverwell. The bulding contractor was Messr. Wm Gordon who submitted a tender of £217/6/-. The same design and builder were also used for the Crossgar stationmaster’s house.
